Bones of the Pelvis

The bones of the pelvis are used on the one hand, with its spoon shape, to hold the viscera (organs of the abdominal cavity) and, on the other hand, to link the legs to the vertebrae.

Here are a few anatomical plates of the pelvis. Click on the figures for a detailed view and nomenclature. In the hip, you will find the iliac, the sacroiliac and the iliofemoral areas, as well as various ligaments.
